Camphor basil (Ocimum killmanscharicum), is a large growing perennial with oval silvery grey green leaves that reach a height of 1.3 meters. Camphor basil grows best in full light and is drought resilient as well as frost tender. It can be cultivated in large containers or in the garden. Camphor basil has a ‘interesting’ perfume and gives the garden a slightly medicinal scent! One of the most valuable plants in the garden for its mosquito repellant properties, both in the garden and in the home.
Its harvesting season is from August to September.
